Have a blind I use for over bait in ID. Use it for when kids or wife go.
What do you guys do to your blind to get it aired out and as scent free as you can?
I normally leave it out in yard to get rained on for awhile. Then set it up in woods for a week near where we camp during season. Hate to leave it at bait to long with the bears around. Any ideas ?

I just trim some fresh limbs and put on top.
Keep a bottle of Scent Away in the blind bag. And spray it before I get in.
Have had elk walk right up to it.

For bears I was hanging a rag soaked in vanilla extract near the blind or my treestand when I was in it. To mask some of the human odor of the wind was wrong. When I used a blind I would pack it in and out each sit with me.

put it out early way before you hunt and leave it. I did this for years and never had one messed up by bears but it of course could happen. We make natural blinds now so have not done it for a while, keep food attractive scents away from it but having some man scent coming from it before you hunt will help you.
