Title: 49 Degrees North - parking a trailer during the week?
Post by: Ninajoy80 on April 05, 2018, 09:47:30 AM
I drew Spring Bear, 49 Degrees North and we live on the Seattle side of the State. We'd like to take our 30' trailer to the area to scout during Turkey Season and it'd be awesome to leave it parked somewhere during the week so we don't have to lug it back and forth every weekend (hopefully we make it that much).
Any thoughts on where to park or if it's even an option?

I'd leave it wherever you park it and set up camp the first time. Legally on fs land you have a certain number of days you can camp in one spot, which is over a week but not exactly sure of max days, maybe 14 or 21.the risk of someone messing with it would be the only concern. If you didn't want that risk, pay someone to store it in their driveway or rent a spot at a campground.
Or is this a secret internet scouting trick to get someone to tell you where bear hunting might be good?
I'm kidding

We stayed at a place called Moonlight RV (I think) a couple years ago during my moose hunt.  It is on HY 211 between Hy 2 and Usk.  That is in the unit I believe.  Really nice folks.  They have water and electric and bathrooms with hot showers.  If I recall, they charged $100 a week.  And they looked over our camper when we were gone.  No problems whatsoever.

I saw bear tracks in the meadow behind there last week.  That would be a good spot

I like your tactic... wish I was smart enough to have thought of it! LOL.
