Special permit drawing results are made available online by the end of June for deer, elk, mountain goat, bighorn sheep, moose, and turkey.

I don't mind the wait. Every day until the draw results are posted is full of promise and hope - the promise of a quality hunt, the promise of being in the elk and deer woods during the peak of the rut with just a handful of other lucky hunters. The hope that this will be my year for an OIL tag and, for the next few weeks, I get to hold onto that hope. I can make plans for opening day hikes, camping and travel arrangements and check the classified section for the weapon upgrade that I've been secretly squirreling away money for.:yeah:

I did! So that means in the last 5 years I e drawn all categories of elk tags, but have never drawn a deer tag. So I need to keep the mojo going.

I have a buddy who drew archery any bull for Rimrock with 4 points and then drew it again the very next year. I have yet to draw a tag. I don't have a ton of points but seeing that happen when others have been putting in for longer.. kind of makes me sick even though the guy is a buddy.

Hey, me too! Already have Idaho tags BOUGHT AND PAID FOR. Plus I'm a school teacher and I DON"T HAVE TIME TO HUNT A GOOD TAG.
