Title: Lake Merwin
Post by: Blacklab on May 13, 2018, 08:42:14 PM
2 of us went out for the kokes. After 8 hrs of beautiful seenery and weather. We blanked. My rods were never touched. My partners went off several times. Couldn't get anything to stick, till next time.  :brew:  ;)

You weren't alone.  I had heard about poor results all weekend.

We were in a firemen's derby 30 teams 71 people. No one in the derby caught a limit.

I was out the same day as the fireman's derby... didn't participate. We caught one SMALL kokanee within 5 minutes. ZERO bites for the rest of the morning after that. Brutal day and such a bummer for those participating in the derby, I'm sure.

Hoping this weekend improves as I'm full-time fishing it!
