I've been doing points only for bull elk draws and I have 12 bull points. I've been muzzleloader hunting but the bull draws for muzzleloader sick, so I'm going with rifle, I have cow points to. I've packed into the William O. for years but the last time I was up there was back in 2003. With the wolves moving in I'm looking for some advice. Might look into a drop camp if I draw, but I'm not sure if I want to limit myself to one area. I know the area I use to hunt and there were some good bulls in there. But I don't want to pack 5 miles into the Bumping and find out the wolves pushed the elk out.

I知 sure you値l do fine in the bumping, especially packed in. Wolves have only eaten half the elk, still a couple left.

Way more than the Blues.

So I'm thinking Goose Prairie for #1, what should I choose for 2 and 3?

:yeah: Our elk and deer herds have dramatically declined in the last few years. Even though the game dept won稚 admit it, I have personally seen wolves over there for the past 12 years

What area to put in for is always a tough decision. Putting in for points only hoping things improve might come back to haunt a hunter.

Is Cowiche a good choice?

Honestly I'd do peaches ridge second and alkali 3rd. I think the alkali is a sleeper unit, wait, I should have PM"d that. Sorry....

Cowiche is a good unit for your cow points. Even better if you get a wind farm permit.

Last year I had Peaches Ridge as my first choice, but drew Goose Prairie which was my second. Glad it worked out that way cause of the fire.
