I'll be up in the area between white bird and riggins on the salmon river next week. Spring chinook numbers look HORRIBLE this year, up there and they've closed a big portion of the river.
With that said, I'm still going to be in the area and going to dedicate a couple days to fish. I've never fished salmon that far from the salt (talk about a journey).
Any tips or insight anyone can offer who has fished there in the past?

Fish it alot.. saw quite a few pics posted over the weekend. Lots fish the little salmon its not my cup of tee. I fish the main river right in riggins. The park hole is good. We drift corkies, yarn and eggs, but lately switched out the eggs for tuna bellies and have done well.
