Title: Rule changes
Post by: Ridgeratt on June 20, 2018, 09:36:59 AM
Just looking at the new rules for July 1st. I knew the limits on kokanee are going to a 10 fish limit state wide and they won't count in a mixed limit of trout. That means you could feasibly catch 5 trout and 10 koke's. But also as I read the changes I see that WDFW has deemed no daily catch limit on Eastern Brook. So does that mean they are going to quit stocking them?   :dunno:

Are you aware of the last time WDFW stocked Eastern brook trout?

Here is the answer you are looking for.

2017 they planted eastern Brook fry in several lakes on the east side but I didn't read the entire stocking plan. According to the region 1 Bio they are considered an invasive species not a native strain.

I am no sure how they are getting the tiger trout, but they are a cross between Browns and Eastern Brook also.

So are Rimrock and Bumping lakes now 10 fish limit? Instead of 16?

Tough one to swallow is no more late season silvers on the Satsop. Closes on 1 Dec. Plenty of folks are not going to notice that one
