Title: Dodge ford input
Post by: n_mathews13 on June 25, 2018, 12:31:19 PM
Have a 2001 f350 ,7.3. Like the truck a lot. Have done a lot to it, with more in mind. But since iv gotten the truck iv been towing camp trailer around more and more, and I have tossed the idea of getting a 6 speed manual. I think I'd like to try a dodge out, used one.
Any input ?
Who has gone from ford to dodge and liked the change?
We do a lot with truck so I love the space the ford gives inside, I know that's somethn dodge can't beat as far as not getting new.

If you want to get to know your mechanic better buy a Dodge.

Is the Ford just lacking in power for you? Or is it getting up in mileage and starting to have major problems?

Not at all
177, miles
Has power but could o much better. It's automatic so I'm limited on doing a few things and I'd like that extra gear.
Always planned on doing a gear vender.
More then likely I'll keep truck and set it up, but just curious about other options

177 is just broke in. Yeah I’ve heard the power isn’t the best but I know that you can do plenty of mods to increase power. I’m sure a ford pro will chime in soon and tell you all your options
