Cool let me know
The 1 is on the right side in ditch just past the exit on bottom of 410 hill leaving town towards 167

You will see the marks where it slid into ditch and will have to pull over to see bull

Got the bull, cow was wrecked

Darn, was nice seeing those elk alive in that area.

That other one had antler peticles on it when I seen it

I’m glad you picked it up. I was on it at 645 am and was on my to work hopefully it was mostly salvageable. The skull was pretty mashed up when I grabbed the antlers

Nice that you posted this and it's awesome someone was able to salvage the animal!

Congrats on the salvage!
So one big question, how did you get a full bull up into your truck? Honestly curious as it is a big reason I never considered trying salvage. Cutting one into smaller pieces on side of road is not only a major hassle, but also not the image I want to present to the non hunting comunity..

You’d be surprised how easy it is to load a whole elk in a truck w a few guys.

Few guys being the key, I thought he might have had a way to do solo.

@chester curious how much of the elk you were able to Salvage?
-
5 guys and the elk went right in . :chuckle:
It wasn’t too badly beat up, all 4 quarters and one backstrap were salvaged. Had to leave the tenderloins and heart :'( . Guts were all busted over it’s insides. And the backstrap it looks like it slid on was too tore up to do anything with.

Nice thanks for the update
