Hello fellow hunters!
I am a new member (have heard about the forum from a neighbor of mine) and wanted to introduce myself. I live in Ridgefield, WA, am an avid bird hunter and get the occasional chance to deer and/or elk hunt in WA but have done some hunting in Wyoming and Arizona as well. I have a 13 year old daughter who was able to shoot her first deer last fall over by Goldendale. I also have an 8 year old son who loves to follow me around when we go duck/goose/quail hunting too. I look forward to getting to know a bunch of you and wanted to say thanks in advance for sharing.
Best regards,
Dan (debord35)

Welcome aboard man! I graduated highschool down on the Couve.. kinda miss it down there..

Welcome! Great job getting your daughter out there early. My eleven year old calls me a deer murderer and has no taste for the outdoors. I hesitate to show her how beef makes it to the table for fear she'd never eat meat again! What are ya gonna do??
Anyways, hope you have lots of great stories to tell. Lies are equally acceptable.

I really hope my daughter doesn’t call me a deer murderer when she gets older. My sister was the same way with my father, but I hope it skips a generation. We need more female hunters.

Thanks for the warm welcome from all of you! I have had some success in getting permission to hunt some private land outside of Dayton and have OnXmaps so I can keep track of the "Feel Free to Hunt" areas but didn't know if I should be focusing my efforts up in the hills on the National Forest or should keep trying to work on farmed land out of the forest? Any of you have recommendations there?
I'm also looking for options on places to set up a tent for a home base and didn't know if any of you have a favorite place to set up?
Thanks again for your thoughts/ideas!
Dan
