Thinking about starting a pool $5 a square. Who's draw hunt is going to get ruined by a late season fire this year. Any takers? Just kidding happened to me a few years back when someone IDIOT caught Meeks table on fire opening morning. Worst feeling ever.

Im hunting the colockum archery elk, hoping its no where near as smoky as it was last year, that stuff sucked!

Huge fire already burning east of there. I was there too last year. Smoke sucked!

My glass is always half full. Even with that Meeks fire we had a great hunt on my buddies tag. We were evacuated but we're still able to access other parts of the unit. Same with Peaches last year. So much dirt was open to hunt despite "the sky is falling" hysteria from a lot of people. Adapt and overcome or quite before you even start. No brainer on what my choice will always be :twocents:

Hopefully not too many get screwed but the fact of the matter is that longer, bigger and more intense fires are becoming the Norm and its only going to get worse. One would be wise to keep this in mind when making plans for hunting season, and maybe even when applying for tags.
