Cool. I haven’t caught a crappie since I moved out here from MN in 2000. I need to get out and make that happen. Any good tips on where to go?

They catch a ton in Silver Lake in late winter. It's just up the road from you by Toutle Lake

Yellow and white jig tipped with a pinch of worm, or red and white, floated under a bobber was my go to. Just have to get the depth right.

Looks like the makings of a very tasty fish fry!

I have been trying (unsuccessfully) to find a good Crappie spot around here.... Walla2 area

All these were fly fishing most on a black balanced leech and a San Juan worm
Depth varied 9-15 feet water temp 72 ish. All about 10 inches

Anyone on here close to Seattle PM me if they need a crazy Crappie lake.
I know a lake where a guy goes and gets as many as that picture almost every time he goes there. That’s about an hour or 2 of work for the guy

Beauty is it is hard to overfish them out of a lake, less of them then they grow bigger!

It's a bit of a drive, but I caught some nice sized White and Black Crappie at Alder Lake up north of Morton. I hear Kress Lake has Black as well, though I've never caught any there and over summer the underwater plant life is a bigger fight than the fish. Silver Lake has White and Black, but I've never caught them there either.
