Just saw this post from my wife. Half mile from my folks place. Looks like a healthy one and not very skidish

Where is that at? I'm jealous. Just sighted my rifle today. :hunt2:

So I am not a cat guy but I am thinking that looks like a young cat to me. Maybe just left it's mother recently and is trying to figure this world out. With decreased hunting pressure and a shrinking habitat(humans encroaching) I think you will continue to see more of this.
@bearpaw is the go to cat guy in my mind, what do you think of this cat?
-
Looks like a mature female to me, probably not real old, but that can surprise a guy too. Looking at a photo isn't the same as seeing in the flesh either. If it's unafraid hopefully someone notches a tag this fall.

First thought was a female. Should have gone with a my gut. I'll be ready to go to work for you this winter Dale.

Yeah my first thought was 2 to 3 year old female. Sounds like this cat is around that area quite often so I hope someone fills there tag this season. I lived down the road from there for 17 years and we constantly saw cat sign. Lotta bears too
