Title: Private timber company bear numbers
Post by: SCRUBS on July 26, 2018, 05:23:29 PM: Do the bear harvest numbers of previous years reflect bears that were killed by private contractors and hunters combined? Or are the numbers listed just from hunters only?

I have no actual knowledge about this though, just a guess.

Post by: dan11011 on July 28, 2018, 06:50:32 AM: Almost positive, 'harvest numbers' refers to bears killed just by hunters in season. Its like the cougar harvest. More cougars are killed every year than in the harvest numbers, but they don't count kills for livestock depredation. Those aren't hunter kills.
