If you can remember back to a summer like this? HOT early and hot lots. What was it like that year during archery elk season? Was it still hot or did it cool down that year early?

The last couple of elk seasons have been hot, at least east of the mountains. Have a plan to get meat out quickly.

Ill bet the weather will trick us and the rains will come early and drench us for ten days in september.

Seems like it’s been a pretty average summer over here in Spokane.
Last year we hunted in 95 degree heat and then snow in September, I prefer the heat.

Is this summer particularly warm? It sure seems like an average summer or maybe even a bit late arriving where I'm at.
Opening morning last year was smoky and about 90. Was choking by day and had a headache by night. Next weekend it was dumping so much snow, I couldn't believe it.

Our summer has actually been pretty mild in wenatchee. It took a while for the warm temps to hit so who the heck knows.

+1. Compared to 3 summers ago, things have been pretty nice overall in the Yakima area.

Late summer for here as well.
The Blues just went to extreme fire danger. That’s about a month later than most years.
Moisture levels are excellent in the area as well.
But there’s a lot of summer left. :twocents:
