No public use or access. Not sure if it effects anyone on here but it sure could throw a wrench in my plans!

This has happened the past 3-4 years. It definitely takes some of the joy out of drawing a Sled Springs archery tag for those that did.
-
If I remember correctly last year the same thing happened and then right before archery season they opened it up to non motorized use. It sucks having to wonder though.
-
Most of it closes to motorized use every year just before archery season. Last year they opened it up to day walk in use at some point but people still weren't allowed to camp on their land.

anyone know if they are going to open it up to foot traffic for the opener in sled springs?
-
No substantial rain in the forecast so I would probably plan for the worst and hope for the best.
-
I heard it was opened today for day use. The people that told me didn’t have anything official, but I’ve heard it from multiple sources.

I called the office and was told the same thing. open for day use, non motorized walk in only. She gave me a phone number to call that will get you to a recording that gives current updates/status of hancock land in NE oregon. ill try to find the number and post it up tomorrow.
