Was looking at the new new Remington 700 ml does anyone have one what do you think of it
-
Crickets huh? Somebody must have tried one.

I didn’t realize that they were still making these. The old ones were not that good.

I've got one of the new ones. I bought the wood stock version that came with the peep sight set up for hunting in WA. Just an FYI, its built on a 700 action so it has the be transfered like any other normal rifle.
As far as the rifle itself, I like it. Good fit, finish, and feel. I have only shot it a little bit, but it shoots pretty well so far. I have found that the first few inches of the vote are the tightest. Starting a bullet can be tough, but once its in a couple inches it goes easier. I haven't had a chance to do much testing with bullet/sabot combos to find the best fit yet.
Loading the primed shell deals is super easy. Drop it in and close the bolt just like your 308. It is important to get the breech plug screwed in at the proper torque and 80 inch pounds, otherwise you'll have the primers backing out of the case a little.
I'm going to grouse flats this weekend to scout/grouse hunt a little, but the weekend after im planning on shooting the ML a lot and figuring everything out for deer season.

I think you're talking about the Remington Ultimate Muzzleloader. The 700ML and the Ultimate Muzzleloader are 2 totally different guns.
Which one is the OP talking about?

I am talking about the ultimate. I'm assuming the OP is as well because they don't make the 700ML anymore.

The 700 Ultimate is a great gun and I've spent a good amount of time shooting them. With 100 grains of powder, the recoil is next to nothing, and I really like how much it feels like any other hunting rifle. Cleaning is by far the simplest of any muzzleloader on the market, as it does not require you to remove the breech plug. With that said, the gun is on the heavier side, which is probably needed if you're going to shoot 200 grains of powder out of it. With 200 grains of White Hots, the recoil is pretty much comparable to a 300 Win Mag, in my estimation. The accuracy of these guns is great, and the overall fit and finish are superb. Overall, it's a great gun. Let us know if you have any other questions.
