Finally got around to pulling my elk cams. Got some great bulls on cam but these two are my favorite, which would you prefer? The Heavy 6 has my heart.
-
whichever one presents the first clean shot.
-
if I truly had the choice.... if only.... I would go for the one that looks like it has the most and best quality meat. But you are probably looking for input from guys who actually harvested many elk and are actually getting picky....
-
Either.....the 7 has weak 3s but huge 4's. The 6 has bigger 3's but weak 4's........all helllll who am I kidding, I would shoot whichever presented first. What about the one in the middle....does he have a set of nuts?? Maybe he gets shot first when he turns broadside.
cool pics.

I’m looking for input from anyone who has input :dunno:
I don’t kill bulls I just get trail camera pictures of them :chuckle:
-
Texas heart shot! Right down the middle.
.....really though, the 7 all day.
-
6. He looks like a more mature bull. 7 looks younger.
-
The one that gives me the first shot opportunity.
-
The one which fills my freezer.
-
Im doing the same thing to myself. Checking cams, looking at bulls and trying to pick the one I want, when ultimately (if Im given the opportunity at a clean shot) the decision is not really up to me.
Nice bulls though.

The bull in the top picture looks amazing!

Oh JEEEEEZE !!! 6's , 7's , 4's spair change !! O just shut !! When u see these critters and there in range , hopefully you have a clue as to where your freezer levels are , you shoot and yell let's eat !!!! 20 minutes later , I see no reason for a math or boon n Crocket debate , this is uuuuuuuh ,,,,, hmmmmm ,, o ya ! 2018 ! Find the peg , find the spot , get level and shoot Wich ever critter is legal according to the fish n feathers pistal packn brainiac that's following them !!!
-
What Cryder said, Well I think so at least :chuckle:
If I get an Elk like either of those in my sites I will:
1. Try not to panic
2. Probably panic
3. Start over at step #1
4. Take the first shot I am able to muster.
5. With any luck celebrate and get ready for a lot of work.
-
:yeah:
-
If they were all together with good shot presentation, I'd drop the smallest one. I know call me crazy, but I hunt alone so I would go after the one that is easiest to manage after the shot.

PERZACHLY !!!! The picture was taken when they were there and you or I was not , now your there and they aren't , game cams don't really help with Mr. Majestic , again just opinion but I've never got back to my game camera before some woodsy crook steals it and the same critter that's on the camera is still standing there hmmmmm ,,,,

We actually had a herd of about 50-60 elk infront of the camera that the big 6 was on when we went to go pull it. We watched them for about 10-15 minutes and there’s pictures of a decent 6 Point bull with the next set of photos being me 20 minutes later pulling it off the tree. Last year we had a real nice 6 and a rag horn at 12 yards in that exact spot as well. Shoot three years ago my buddy had an arrow pass through a cow when we were hunting and the arrow stuck into the base of the tree that my camera was hung up on all summer long. Sorry that your cameras have been stolen, it’s a shame people do that to other hunters.

Which ever big dawg decides to show up and present a clean shot
-
neither.
Spikes are better eating. Those are ground elk and pork mix. Dog likes to chew antlers.
-
Now there's a guy that knows his freezer levels when he's in the woods !! Let's eat !
