I know everyone has asked and shared at length about this GMU and I know IEP is the way to go but I had a slightly different question than I see usually asked about it. I know IEP has some good land, but I also have found quite a few smaller parcels of DNR land north/northeast of Long Lake (Tum Tum area). I know a few of those are used for targeting shooting and probably won't be worth hunting because all that activity. Can anybody tell me which of those areas are popular with target shooting? Are any of those less popular/less actively abused and used? Since my wife is pregnant I've got to stay close in this year and will be focused on these areas. Already got an IEP permit too but thought about avoiding the competition. Any help would be appreciated! Just trying to fill a meat tag on muzzie, feel free to point me in that direction, because I'm not after your trophy buck! Thanks!
I should add that I'm planning on driving to them and scouting, but there are a lot and a just want to rule out the complete waste of time pieces. Feel free to PM

I can't help directly, but will say that if there is easy road access, it is a probable spot for shooting. A quick drive through looking for huge piles of junk will unfortunately tell you if it is used by "sportsmen" or not.
I wouldn't bother with any small piece that has any type of road access.
