Title: Excited To get Geared up
Post by: Pete112288 on October 03, 2018, 11:11:44 PM
So I finally bit the bullet and bought the decoy anchor mold I have wanted forever. I just always had something else that needed the money spent on it but finally made it happen. For the J-hook/Keel Grabber style anchor. I can only make 1 or 2 at a time since a 6 or 8 oz weight is what I need for most of my places due to wind and current. My dad machined a mold for me years ago but it is just a big chunk of steel and is a pain to work with. Not to mention the weights don't come out easy no matter how I do it. Always had to turn it over and bang on it with a sledge to get em out haha. Now I just need to get working on making them. Got a bucket full of lead and 6 dozen deeks to outfit.

Nice, I bought a one-sided one off of eBay two years ago and it takes a while to make up a dozen.
