This year I am going to set up several cameras guarding my tent. Last year someone stole my tent while I was scouting.
They will be positioned to read license plate numbers and of course anyone that comes into camp uninvited.
The tent that was stolen was new and expensive.
-
You might have been on the bad end of what someone thought was a dummy camp.🤔

I have a couple of extra cameras if you need them.

They only took your tent???
At least they left the rest of your camp alone.
That sucks though.
-
Might put your camp away from the road. :dunno:

So they tossed your sleep system and rest of your gear outside? Or was the tent empty?

people have no business touching others gear REGARDLESS of... that is what LEO is for. Nothing more than theft..
-
Look at the dummy camp threads from the last 10 years, probably one of the whiners in there, just get it narrowed down.
-
This is a great idea. You should post it on a public forum so you can have your camera stolen at the same time as your tent!
-
Ghost camp hunters are out there and the game they are looking for is ur stuff. The only surprise is how little theft happens not how much.
-
2MANY people and not enough opportunity due to poor wildlife management.
-
No good. Sorry your stuff was taken. O/T... If you find the thieves, send them to Moses Lake. Lots of tents in the city parks. ML is filling up with urban campers. Lots of tent stealing opportunities.

No kidding! It’s only going to get worse when the city builds them a homeless shelter

That doesn't work, considering that it's likely that he'll find his tent in that exact location in ML, or one like it.

Tweekers it’s the season for easy pickings.

I read that as he was using his tent on a scouting trip, nothing about saving a spot for hunting season. :twocents:

No, the gear was still in the truck. They also took my ladder, which was some distance from the tent.
And the tent was setup on a dead end road about 100ft back.
They must have scoured the area.

I set up the tent because I don't like to do it in the dark.
