Title: Teanaway Elk
Post by: rgcopk9 on October 08, 2018, 09:14:40 AM
I drew a cow permit this year and haven’t run into any elk. I have a nice 6x6 on my camera, but no cows, other than the domestic variety. Looking for a little hint to fill this tag. Oh, this is the ML tag too.

A quick PM would be awesome!

Report from two farmer friends that live in the teanaway valley did not hear of any archery elk kills this year,  another friend has 80 acres east of them a few miles as a crow flies always had his private elk herd but nothing g in the last two years I haven't seen a elk all summer at my place either. I think this means too many fk cats and wolves

The wolves have really been moving the elk around the last few years. I get them on three different cams in different drainages and this year has been the most frequent sightings yet. Sad deal. Rarely see big herds in there anymore. All broke down into groups around 10 animals with elk anymore. Have to get in to the thick stuff if you want to find some. They’re still talking a little though. Good luck
