Post by: bigsads on October 27, 2018, 08:36:56 PM
Any info on the fall river unit,  moving camp this year closer to home,  and going in blind.   Not looking for specifics road, areas,  etc.   Just general info that may be beneficial

Hunted it some years ago.  Holds elk and deer.  Brushy.  Overhunted.  Elk are always bordering private lands.  I hated it and seen very few elk.  Not very good.  Used to be better.  Go across hiway its better.

South.  Like Stella?  I think that's it?  Been awhile.  Permits probably.  I have family out of Pe Ell area and they don't hunt 501 672 much at all.  Used too.  Bulls are 90% small horned but rare one will be decent.  Fall gets hit hard all year.  Weyco land in the 672 is better than any 501 lands.  Elk are in there but its a poor area in general imop.  We did well for deer however in years past.  The swamps and creek bottoms flats is where we did run into elk on occasion.  If serious best move is too ask loggers, they will know.  Maybe a case of beer will buy some info?? :chuckle:
