My wife's uncle, who is disabled, drew a 1010 2nd deer tag. I've offered to take him up and help him get on a doe, but I am not familiar with the area at all. Looks like there is a small patch of dnr, and a few possible hunt access areas sporadically through the unit.
I'm unsure of how busy this unit gets for the 2nd deer season. Due to his disabilities we will not be able to hike far from the road if the terrain is to steep, and he limits his shots to about 150 or so yards with his 308.
If anyone is willing to give me some insight to this unit I'd truly appreciate it. I'm going to try to make a trip up to scout some before the season, but I'm not sure if I can swing that or not. Up until a few days ago I didn't know exactly where he held this tag, therefore I haven't had a chance to research much or go to the unit to have a look.
