More bears of the brown variety for sure.

I hunted the Blacktail drainage in the Snowcrest Mountains from 1998 to 2003. It was open to brow-tined bull and permit only antlerless. I have a friend who still hunts there now and it is open to brow-tined bull and antlerless. I guess there is plenty elk to keep the antlerless hunt going, but in all the time I hunted there I never saw a legal bull. My friend and his buddies usually get a cow or two, but rarely do they get a legal bull. That country is very popular with horse riders. Around Dillon itself I see a lot of whitetails, but usually on locked land. Still a pretty remote area of Montana.

Tough for elk. Better moose.

It was tough when I was there last but if you put the time in their were a few nice bulls taken.
