Saw some in the $380 range. Don't remember where.
Decided I should buy some more for my kids while I still can....... Besides, It's almost Christmas.
Thanks,
Dan

Sadly, the inexpensive ones are all OUT OF STOCK. :(

Have heard some bad things about the Bear Creek rifles. YMMV.
-
grabagun.com has them for 389 to whatever you want to spend

Expand on that please, actual info vs hear say?

A quick Google foo and they come right up with the BBC. That alone upon reading would send me elsewhere.

Guys, you can get a DPMS for like $500 @ Cabela's. Why go cheap with some little or bad rep off-brand?

If I was looking for a "Good shooter" in the lower price ranges, with dependable reliability, I would go for a SW MP15 or a Colt.
I would also consider the Springfield Saint for a little more.

Putting in another vote for PSA: I've built two of my 3 ARs out of PSA uppers/lowers, and I've been very happy with the quality for the most part. I waited for blemished uppers or lowers to be available to order, and so they may have some aesthetic marks (that i haven't noticed) and i got em for cheaper that way. If you're patient you can build one dang cheap!

With AR's, as with most things, you get what you pay for. Most of the different brands of upper & lower receivers and handguards are made in a few places in the US and then sold as whatever brand of rifle. Quality control will vary with how everything gets assembled. I have limited experience with PSA but a good friend recently bought an upper receiver group from them and the screws in the gas block had not been tightened. I've seen some good stuff come from AeroPrecision, plus they're a local company in Tacoma.

Palmetto State armory has like 3 levels of ar . There freedom . The psa and than one other . I believe the freedom is going to be the cheapest . Every psa upper I have bought has been great aswell as my brothers . And there customer service is pretty good too . And as for aero precision they can kiss my bass . It's my understanding that wanted nothing to do with helping advertise or even contribute at all for opposition to i1639 . Sorry not trying to Jack the thread just giving my 2 cents . Anyways psa makes some pretty good stuff for wntry level are buyers !

I had some bad experiences with Bear Creek parts myself. Wrong parts sent, really bad/slow customer service to exchange them, and really poor quality on the parts that were sent. They are low priced but not a bargain.
On the other hand, I've bought a lot of stuff from PSA and have always been happy about it. Some of their stuff is lower end as well, but not as crude as BC.

Georgia Gun Store has Rugers for $489 right now.

I went with the S&W M&P Sport II and would again if looking for another AR. Here's a couple links:
DPMS Oracle $390

S&W M&P Sport II $460

Neither will be enough fire power for Bigfoot though Dan!! :chuckle: :chuckle: :chuckle:

Thanks.
I've heard the DPMS Oracle is a good entry level AR.
Working on it....

+1 Ive had personal experience with multiple M&P sport 2's and have been pleasantly surprised. Out of the box they are a pretty good basic AR that works

Sportco has the oracle for $419 in there flyer. Or find lowers and go with PSA build kit, you could be less than $400.
