Anyone using Vortex Viper HD binoculars? I am thinking about getting a pair of the 12x50's. What do you think about them? Good quality, worth the price?
Thanks
John

I am using Vultures HD and love them.

I have the vipers in HD 10x42 and am very happy with them.

I've never used the 12x50's, but I'm happy with my 10x42's.

Yep, like others i have the viper HD 10x42 and very happy with them.

I run the Viper HDs and have the outdoorsmans bino adaptor and tripod mount. They are solid, you can't go wrong.

Garbage. Go with the Leupolds.

Yep, 10x42mm and love them.

This isn't exactly what you were looking for but I had a pair of 8.5x50 (first gen) and I wasn't impressed at all. Hard getting a single view and the icing on the cake was elk hunting one year we were in a cut at first light and could hear something moving in it. My buddy has an older pair of Nikon 8x36 and he could instantly see they were elk, I saw dark blobs. Grabbed his binos and could see much more clearly and tell they were elk. Haven't gone back to them since and purchased a different brand of binos. Don't think I will go back.

I have these for work. Great glass.

After side-by-side testing, I preferred the Maven C.1 10x42s over the Viper HD 10x42s and they're less expensive. I can't speak to the Maven C.3 12x50s versus the Viper HD 12x50s, but I would expect the same results... in case you want to save some extra money! Mavens are $425 and right now they have a 20% coupon code on their main website.

I have the viper hd 12x50. They are awesome, the glass quality is top notch, and they focus pretty quickly. My buddy has a pricer pair of zeiss binocs and I feel his are quicker to focus. I don't see a real difference in the quality of the image between the two. The warranty is a huge selling point for me personally on the Vortex .
