Title: How to identify a bunch of identical ARs?
Post by: Dan-o on November 26, 2018, 09:19:57 PM: My wife, my kids and their spouses (total of 8) will all have the same AR come Christmas time.

They're plain vanilla - mostly not modified.

How can I easily mark them so we know who's is who's?

Post by: Lucky1 on November 26, 2018, 10:47:01 PM: Different colors of electrical tape around the bottom of the hand grip. That’s how I mark the 300 blackout from the 556 so I won’t accidentally use the wrong ammo. :twocents:

That lower is pretty much a blank canvas, have them engraved?

Do that, super easy. as far as lasting as long as you don't blast it every time with cleaner it will last a while.

I had a PETA "Meat is Murder" sticker on the stock of my first big game rifle. Created a lot of enjoyment for other hunters over the years. When I sold it, the sticker sealed the deal for the buyer!

Post by: Yondering on November 28, 2018, 01:31:38 PM: You could get a different Magpul (or whatever brand) grip for each person, they are cheap enough to make good stocking stuffers and are one of the first things I prefer to change anyway. Lots of different colors and shapes available; I prefer the K2 grip but the MOE is fine too, and the original K is good for people with small hands. All of them come in a number of different colors, even pink.
