The general rifle season here in Montana was off to a warm, slow start. We finally had some cooler temps and snow move in which helped a great deal with the harvest on the lease i have here in Montana. Now that the general season is over, I am hosting veterans from the military along with Montana Warriors ON The Water, a nonprofit here in Montana that host fishing and hunting trips for this countries military personal. We have 5 vets coming, including 2 purple heart recipients thru the state of Montana's purple heart program in which people can donate hunting and fishing licenses back to the FWP and they are awarded to those decorated with a purple heart, a very wonderful program. We will be hunting cow elk during the shoulder season here in Montana. I am thinking of doing a bow hunt for warriors next fall, but I will have to see, may need to sub lease the ranch then to help pay for the lease.(http://[img][/img]

Sounds like a great program for Vets that you're involved with. Good luck with their cow hunts.
