I'm looking into joining the 6.5 creedmoor club. The purpose for the gun will be general hunting as well as target shooting and learning longer distance shooting. I would like to target shoot with something a little cheaper than hunting ammo (at $1-2 a trigger pull) and found Hornady American Gunner. I also noticed that the Hornady precision hunter eldx had very close muzzle velocity and drop compared to the Hornady American gunner bulk ammo. Anyone have experience shooting the American gunner ammo or have any other suggestions?

It shot very well in my kids 7-08. Try a box and see what happens. If you reload, the price per round will be cut in half....ish depending on your components. Great easy round and very forgiving in my experience.

I have seen some phenomenal accuracy out of American Gunner 6.5 factory ammo, even in gas guns.

The 6.5 CM Hornady "American Gunner" is your best bang for the buck and I personally along with several others shot extremely well with it considering its factory fodder.

I use it for practice and get sub MOA when I shoot will. 1/2 inch group very doable at 100 yards if your gun likes it.

Thanks for all the replies. I figured that 200 round for 130 dollars at Sportsman's isn't a bad deal vs the general $1 per round in a box of 20. I'll be trying it out hopefully it works out well.

I bought 1000 rounds of it last year for right around 500 bux. It shoots sub moa outta my gas gun so no complaints here.
