Country fried is the only only want I can get my kids to eat venison besides jerky.  I personally think it tastes much better than the beef version.  And because of this, i now know what i will be having for dinner tonight.

I made this recently and the family loved it. Pound some back strap cutlets till they’re paper thin. Coat in flour then egg then Panko. Serve with pan gravy over potatoes.

That looks good! I'd have seconds.

Love chicken fried steak. Venison works well. Another option is to do exactly what you did but with a venison breakfast sausage gravy. Then serve over some cheddar grits. Not exactly sure you'd want to do anything after that food coma, but maybe breakfast for dinner?

Looks awesome ! When I was growing up my mom used to make chicken fried elk or deer steak fairly often . One of my dads favorites .

Hard to beat a chicken fried cubed elk steak and some taters ... Usually yellow finns .

What did you use for the breading? Did you pan fry?

Mine and my kids favorite way to eat deer and elk except I use a mix of cracker crumbs and Progresso Italian or garlic bread crumbs.  I cube all my steaks twice to make them extra tender.  My kids best friend told me it is the best thing she has ever eaten and wants it every time she stays over.  I'm happy to oblige .  :chuckle:
