anyone whatch this show? I enjoy it but smetimes it seems a little phoney, and I dont always agfree with his calling technique and stand location. but he kills way more coyotes than i do so :dunno:

I like to watch it, but I'm brand new to predator hunting. I don't have an opinion about his methods, but he does shoot a lot of dogs.
-
He is probably the most accomplished contest hunter in the country. I don't watch the show, so I can't offer any opinion on what is being shown.

Les Johnson is an awesome hunter, and has focused on Coyotes for several years, making a living off them. He's ver good, and his show is good compared to others... but then again, it's easy to look good in Northern Wyoming!

I totally agree with eberything said about les johnson. But in the show his calling seems mundane? and sometimes I question his stand location, that said if I could kill in my life what he kills a year I'd be a happy camper.

Is it on cable? I watch his shows off his website because I can not find it on TV :(

I have Direct TV. It is on one of the outdoor channels. Sometimes Versus.

I wouldn't watch Les Johnson in hopes of learning anything that I could use while coyote hunting. A lot of his stuff is reenacted and shot after the kill. The guy does kill a ton of coyotes but I truely doubt that he kills them exactly the way you see it. Just do your own thing and find what works for you.

If you are trying to learn from watching instead of doing, I would suggest getting the series of DVD's by Randy Anderson, specifically "Speaking the Language" and "Calling All Coyotes II". Randy is a from Nebraska but travels all over and is real time hunting and filming. I have learned a lot from them. After that, just go out there and have fun with the new info and learn more by the school of hard knocks.
