I grew up on an 870 but don' have one now would you buy a current model for waterfowl?
-
I wouldn’t. I have an express that fails to cycle constantly.
-
Just in the last week ive heard of a 700 that was shipped with no rifling in it, and another with a barrel that was marked 270 but was actually 30-06. I wouldnt buy any remington product right now.

Nope.

Not a chance. I’d buy a Stoeger P3000 or 3500 or a Winchester SXP. Both are lower priced. Sportsman’s had a 3” waterfowl edition Stoeger for 299.99

Bought a stoeger 3500 last year, love the gun and no issues cycling. My 870 from 25 years ago works like the day I bought it, times have changed from what I've been told

Yeeeeeeeeep. Everyone has some extent of quality control issues. The Ford 6 leakers for example. Sure are allot of guys driving them. :chuckle:. When they aren't in the repair shop. :chuckle:
