So when do yall start looking for deer sheds? Ive got the last weekend of this month free and was wondering if that would be to early to get out and look for mulie sheds?
-
I dont know much about mulies but I found a fresh 4 point bt shed last week of January last year. I usually dont start looking til end of February.
-
I don't stop looking for antlers. Year-round for me.
-
I just found my biggest whitetail shed (last years drop) a couple days ago from the road. Always look, they start dropping anytime now. I found a cougar kill last week and the poor guy had bloody bases, looked and never found them.

Saw two Blacktail today still carrying. I have no clue what Muiles do. :chuckle:
-
They don't drop till at least March...

So what about the snow? I was going to go out the other day for a little look, but I wasnt sure about the snow? Is there snow where you guys are looking for mulie sheds right now?
-
Mulies are a little tough. They are hard to pattern I'd start by looking for them. Snow makes it tougher to find the older drops but the new drops will stick out if they drop in the snow
