2 weeks from right now the wife and I wake up at Lake Picachos, Mexico for 2.5 days of bass fishing and then head over to El Salto for 3.5 days. I know this is a weak post but it has been in the works for right about one year, now, and the time is nearly here. Excitement is setting in!

Right! I've heard that you really should check to see when the nets are in because you lose a lot of water that, otherwise, could be fished. I did not ask for two reasons: One, I'm going no matter what so it is what it is, at this point, and two, the guy who set up the trip said they got in between a couple nets, last year sometime, that had a lot of Tilapia activity. So, him and his partner started throwing a crankbait and caught 63 fish in one hour, and they were not little fish. Not huge, but up to 7 pounds.
I'll make due but in all honesty, I hope there are no nets and I'm thinking there will not be just on account that this time of year is the preferred dates and they charge you (me) to reflect that.
