So had one of the weirdest, craziest days on the water fishing sturgeon yesterday. Started out dealing with snow, wind, and 4 foot white caps. Decided our original plan wasnt going to work so went to the back up plan right away without wasting time. We got on the water and started fishing around 0830. it was none stop action at one point we had a triple header on, i cant say how many double and by 4 pm we had 61 fish to the boat. By the end of the day the 30 inchers were feeling like 60 inchers and my left arm is still pumped up.

Awesome

Awesome, my best day on the water was 41 sturgeon. My 16 year old Son could barely brush his teeth the next day his arms were so sore!!

Now if we could just get a season!

Yeah, I mean a real season. Below the dams.
Could you imagine living on the water in willow grove or some place and having to drive to the hood river bridge so you can keep a fish? Pathetic....
Oh well, thanks for posting pics throttlejockey, reminds me of better days

I wish they’d leave it closed below Bonneville, instead of allowing the seasons they have the past 2-3 years. :twocents:

Especially since it takes decades to grow to a keeper size. :yeah:

All Anadramous Sturgeon harvest is closed North of the Columbia river. California and Oregon harvest all the Sturgeon that migrate almost all the way to Alaska. Doesn’t seem fair to me.

Looks fun!
