Anyone know more about this? What or who is behind this? Basically a bill that would make wdfw conduct a minimum 6 of their ground based whitetail survey routes in region 1 district 1 and establish 3 other 15-mile surveys on public land with the purpose of increasing deer observed? Seems strange. Plus it’d make hunter harvest data available to the public 14 days after their 31 Jan deadline.

Likely designed to show that wolves are not impacting whitetailed deer. Its probably an indication of concern by the public, and a preemptive move by WDFW Wolf Management. Could be a good thing. We'll see.
