i'll probably make a quick run to kodiak in september to hit the silvers and maybe shoot a sitka or two. Have to see how work goes this summer though.

Decided against it with the lack of kings.

I was just talking to my cousin yesterday that lives up in Valdez and I think I am going to go back up there this year.  I haven't been up there to see and fish with him for a few years.  Ever year he is sending me tons of pic's of big lings, halibut and silvers.  So I think its time to go for a freezer filling run again.  So probably around the 2nd week in Aug.

Will be going to Sitka for our annual business trip in August. Love the area and the lodge but the opportunity for fish continues to decline. We can only keep one king per year and there are tight slots on ling and hali. One yellow eye per year as well.

Used to run out of Whittier a lot when I lived there, but haven't been in the know since leaving, but we mainly did Halibut then trolled a few hundred yards to get our salmon and go home...  .  Head farther west and little farter north (well a lot of both) and go to Togiak River lodge, it is not lacking Kings by any means.  Also, the Best Silver fishing in the state!  A person that can fish a bit, can get close to tackling a 100 or more Coho a day.
