Hopefully, we should know in a week if we get drawn for a tag due to the March 26th deadline of buying a multiseason elk tag.
-
March 29th was the deadline I think. My fingers are crossed too. Its a long shot for the Elk, but the deer is a better chance.
-
Do they do the 2nd draw right away? Between the Montana draw, master hunter test, and this 2nd multiseason draw I'm holding my breath for alot of stuff right now. :)
-
Well, I know there will be one additional multi-deer tag. I missed the deadline, thought it was tomorrow. :'(

Didn't know there was going to be a second drawing this year. I thought they over drew permits and put it up as a first come first serve basis to keep from drawing it out so long?

That maybe. I drew the elk tag in 07 Then a few weeks later I recieved a notice that I had been drawn for the deer tag on the "leftover" tag draw. There was no time limit to purchase the tag the second time around.

I'm pretty sure thats the way it is so they can speed up the process of knowing what your hunting in order to put in for special permits. And to be done before the regs come out. I may be mistaken but seem to remember reading that in the revised proposals at wdfw.
-
Make that 2 tags available for deer. I did not purchase mine. Didn't miss the date but rather chose not to buy it.
-
hope i get it the second time around
-
that's how I got mine last year....second draw. Good luck.

I thought I read this somewhere also. I assumed that there were extra drawn so they didn't have to do 3 or more draws.... But I could be wrong
