Showing up on my cam every 3 weeks or so, can't wait for August! Any guesses on how much he weighs (live weight).
-
Average to small size bear. He’s probably 125-150 pounds.
Nice animal.

Looks bigger...maybe the angle but looks good to me....I'm saying 225 8n the fall. Shooter.
-
I will post his weight after I get him! Thinking 225 live weight on the low end 300 on high end.

I bet you aren't too far off, he's probably less than that now, but they pile on the weight in the fall.

Best of luck getting him.

Hard to tell from that angle. In my limited experience I've found that relatively long legs and big ears means a small bear. Can't tell with this one.
-
Hard to tell by that picture but he doesn’t look like he has the body length to be in the 300lb category but he will definitely be over 200.

looks 150 ish to me

:yeah: or even a little less

A couple more pics. All facing away. I believe the 05/02 shot is the same bear? Moved camera 75 yards from that 05/02 shot into a deer bedding area.
Anyone's opinion on size changed?

Hmmm... not so sure now that they are the same.. 05/02 bear looks bigger, shinier and bigger hump, no??? It is mating season right? Don't know a lot about bear on Olympic Peninsula.

The full-on moon phase makes him look bigger :chuckle: :chuckle: :chuckle:

Not sure on exactly how big he is but he definitely would end up in my freezer :twocents:
