Title: Shedding Winter Coat????
Post by: h2ofowlr on March 30, 2009, 07:59:18 AM: I saw a few deer behind the house. Hopefully they are just shedding there winter coats and not some form of bug. Any insite would be great. Took the pictures through my window, so they are not the best.

Post by: BrushChimp on March 30, 2009, 03:06:58 PM: It doesn't look like shedding to me. Looks like hair loss. I saw a couple the other day. They were about 40 yards away and I was looking through 10X binoculars. They were near bald. Quite gross to say the least. I mainly effects yearlings due to weaker immune system or something, but I'm pretty sure any age deer can get it.
