So long story short I have a shockwave type shotgun on order. It comes with a wooden forehand with no strap. I went ahead and ordered a strap and screws for it. However I'm hoping someone with a shockwave can give me the distance of the screws from one another so I can make a template and get it right. Any help would be appreciated.

I have a Rem Tac-14 but it has the Magpul forend and Mesa Tactical arm brace so I'm not sure I'd be of any help to you, but if what I have would work for the measurements you need, I'd be happy to help in anyway I can.

You sure it comes with no straps????? I thought they all came with that hand strap

Yep I'm sure. The shockwave comes with one but several other models and makes dont. The tac14 doesn't, the wood version of the shockwave dosent. Charles daly dosent. I don't know why honestly, seems like a bad idea not to. But I went ahead and ordered a nice leather one with screws. So I gotta drill it myself when it gets here. I'm sure I could fuddle with it and just go for it but if I had the measurements of the holes it would be super easy.

This is what's on the way.

I'm not exactly sure of the make/model you have, but if you can add the Mesa Tactical arm brace it makes them, A LOT, more manageable to shoot and IMO it also makes them a lot more effective. Obviously, the arm brace adds a little length, but it's minimal and makes up for it by making them a more effective weapon.

I'm keeping the weird birdhead grip. I like the 1980 action hero look. I got other shotguns with stocks so this ones just for fun as is. The deal was too good. Just needs the front strap.

So should I just guess they're about 7" apart and start there?
