I drew the early muzzle loader cow tag and have started my research on getting access to more hunting ground. I was wondering if any of you knew how to get contact info for the chunks of hunting by written permission? Right now I’m looking at trying to get access to the Cloverland & Trent ridge section. Is the owners contact info buried somewhere on the internet or will it be a drive down and find a sign with owner info?

You have to drive over and get phone numbers off the signs.

This article might give you a few leads. I used to hunt Mulies in Couse. All the good land is Private but there has been a lot of damage tags given the ranchers over the years so you might get the proper blessing.

Yea that’s what I’m hoping for with that tag is to find a farmer or two that has it in for our beloved wapiti. That’s kinda what I figured bobcat thank you. I’ll read that article and see what I can’t dig up. Already have an email into WDFW regional office and to the biologist if I don’t get a response in a week I will start buzzing their phones. Also have family in Lewiston that I’m going to prod for some info tomorrow. Thanks for the info guys.

I drew the modern tag during the general deer season. Did you have any luck with wdfw?

Try the numbers, most of the ones I tried were reserved for their friends and family or some had reserved it for youth/sick/veteran hunters.
Definitely some elk on public but where I see them it wouldn’t be fun getting them out!
I put in for it... good luck
