Title: License for albacor
Post by: plugger on July 08, 2019, 05:00:03 AM
Do you need a license to fish albacore? Cant seem to find much in the regs. Also will be launching on the Oregon side of the CR. Would I need an Oregon license since I will be leaving the river?

Hmmm... I just read on Ifish you can land in any Columbia river port with either an Oregon or Washington license. You may want to call WDFW.

When fishing in the Columbia yes and not in a tributary for the license you do not have, You can put in or out from either side to fish the shared waters of the Columbia from a boat. He’s leaving Oregon and fishing the ocean he needs an Oregon fishing license. Also a catch card if salmon fishing.
