Title: Non Rich Mans Air Compressor

My needs:

Must be a vertical tank
Must power die grinder & air sander
Have a 400 amp hand plasma with the requirements of 400 cfh @ 70 psi
Not looking to run a fab shop but also want to "do the work" when I want which includes fabrication and automotive work in a moderate fashion.

Are the Lowes/Home Depot air compressors plenty? Their pricing is attractive. The next upgrade re the Quincy's for more line a grand. I'd prefer to keep the costs under that. Scared of Craigslist. Thoughts?

I'd like to know, I want a plasma torch too someday.

Post by: elksnout on August 15, 2019, 08:37:38 PM: After talking with one man fab shop owners and compressor dealers and based off my needs I went with a Campbell Hausfeld's 80 gallon 2 stage 1P. 5HP. Pick it up next Monday.

Thats what i have. Can run a DA all day long. Got it out of a tire store fire, insurance salvage. No damage.
