Title: Swift Reservoir
Post by: elksnout on July 19, 2019, 08:08:03 PM: Retired now and would like to get back into drowning worms, etc. by the lakesides. Used to pretty good off the bank just above the boat launch area. Can you still access the water by walking the road down to the dam? Seems I heard that was closed off to entry?

Post by: dyhardhuntr on July 20, 2019, 12:05:51 PM: I also used to walk down to the dam and it was one of my favorite spots. Now they will not allow access at all. They put up a new automated gate and I called pacific power and confirmed no access. If you have a boat then no worries but if not your stick fishing at the upper end unless you can find a spot to hike down from the road. I grew up in woodland and fished that lake religiously. That area has changed a lot since I was a kid.

Post by: Skywagon_185 on July 21, 2019, 01:54:27 PM: Stopped by there a couple hours ago. There is an open walkway through the fence and a sign that says rainbow over 20" must be released. Didn't read all the signs but didn't see any closed to fishing. Strange! Used to be a very popular spot. If fishing, I'd go for it.

Post by: Ghost Hunter on July 22, 2019, 02:37:26 PM: Tried it late this morning. Didn't have any luck with spinners. Maybe no cars in parking area was a sign. Have your legs under you if you decide to go, water level is down and it's a scramble down the rocks.
Stopped at the canal on the way back and quickly limited out. Some days it's hot and some days it's not.
