This year a guy I know wanted to sell some hides and the fur buyer showed up and took all 13 pelts. Frozen and rolled up so he couldn’t judge em. Once he was gone the guy told me the pelts were from August until late March and one had been in the freezer for “a year or 2”. 12 pelts sold. 10 for about his average- 75-85. 2 for half the average. 1 wasn’t put up. So with the market right now, just sell em if they look nice. The guy I’ve been using will sew up the biggest holes too, and they still sell.

Post by: Tracker0721 on September 06, 2019, 01:38:06 PM: I mistook the question I guess, I hunt em all year but only keep furs late October until mid feb. Called 2-3 packs last night using a diaphragm and a few long howls. Kept them howling back for 10 minutes while figuring locations on onX.
