Washington Waterfowl Association

NW Chapter Youth Hunts

The WWA NW Chapter is once again sponsoring youth waterfowl hunts at various locations in north Puget Sound. This is an excellent opportunity to mentor youth under 16 years and a great way to introduce youth to the hunting experience and heritage. That first hunt can mark the beginning of a lifelong passion for the outdoors and a commitment to wildlife conservation. If you’re new to Waterfowl hunting we can set you up with experienced support at the blind. Washington State small game license and a migratory bird permit are required. Federal migratory bird stamp is NOT required.

All are welcome!

Hunt Dates: Saturday, Sep. 21st

We have secured hunts at these locations:

• Edison Hunt Club. 2 Pit Blinds adjacent to a freshwater pond. Morning and afternoon hunts. 1/2 hour before sunrise until noon and from 1 pm until sunset.

• The Nature Conservancy in Port Susan. 2 dike blinds. Due to low early morning tides, we will hunt from 10 AM until sunset.

• Swinomish Gun Club. Several dike blinds. Due to low early morning tides, we will hunt from 10 AM until sunset.

Reservations are required. First come-first served. Please contact Rick Skiba reskiba@msn.com (360) 387-2225 or Rick Billieu, rgbillieu@frontier.com (360) 653-8571.

Quite a few birds flying. Seems like lots of teal spoonies and a few mallards.(https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20190921/a83b1a5623bd930b26c81473f56c005f.jpg)(https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20190921/dee7893734478dac6715f60f58137087.jpg)(https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20190921/86f89261b4a875ec3c755d43723fd65d.jpg)
