High hunt success! A brutal pack out but worth it to me!
-
.
-
Somewhere around 160. But I'm far from being an expert on scoring deer.
-
I would guess right around 150-155. Cool buck with the dark antlers. Congrats!
-
 thank you, no matter the score Im happy with it and will be having blackstrap for dinner tonight!
-
You’re supposed to wait til October and say it’s a gen season buck 8) dandy

Oh.. it’s my 2018 general season buck!
-
I score it a 10 for sure, nice job.
-
That’s awesome! Good work!
I’m putting it in the 150s
Score it up and tell us!
-
Hard to tell from those pics but I’ll go low 170’s. That buck looks pretty heavy with fairly decent forks.
-
Thanks for the replies so far, it is pretty heavy and carries the mass pretty good up the tines, most of my pictures have to much background in them to post on the net
-
Awesome buck! Those brutal pack outs suck at the time but are the ones you remember the most
-
155 -160 . Nice buck
-
I think the mass will put him close to 160.
-
id say near 160
-
What a gorgeous buck.
Serious congratulations!!!
-
Beautiful buck! My knees ache just thinking about packing meat and head out of the high country!
-
Beautiful buck! Well done
-
Thanks guys! I never thought I’d see one like this on a hunt! When I ran into him Sunday afternoon he spooked and took off I was kicking myself! I pickled up his track and was able to locate him again where he thought I was no threat. The pack out was beyond brutal but rewarding for sure
-
Here is another view
-
That is a great buck.
-
Beautiful buck, I just wish you could post more pictures of the scenery with it. I understand why you don't, but the scenery makes those pictures look even better. Nice work man!

Thanks yeah the scenery really makes the hunt! The Picture is just a deer without it :sry:

My first impression is to say 155-165. He has nice heavy mass. but in the picture it looks like the outside spread of the buck is close to 28-30 inches wide when you add the two inches to the tape on the left side of the picture and the three or four more inches on the right side. If that buck is truly that wide and heavy I might be under scoring the buck. He might be much higher than my first prediction but its just hard to score a set of horns from a picture. Most bucks that are that heavy and that wide score in the 170's and higher. The only weakness I can see in the buck are the back forks aren't too deep. Not that I am trying to say there is anything bad about this great buck but that is important in score and you asked. I've seen pictures of bucks that when I saw them in person were much smaller and I have seen it the other way too and be much bigger. Great deer!!! A wall hanger for sure!!!!
-
needs better pictures with a reference in it so the dimensions can be estimated. When I saw the first pic of the deer I thought benchleg and under 18 inch spread.
-
Nice job man! Whatever the score is, its a great buck. I second the comment about it looking pretty wide based on the tape in the background. I was thinking at least 27 inches? What is the precise width by they way?
-
Is with measured from widest outside measurement? If so then just over 23”
-
Also measured diameter of the base right above his left eye guard for reference at 5.5”

Widest point on the inside of the mains is the spread credit.
-
Based on the 23" width and being similar to another buck that was scored I'll go a respectable net of 155 for your buck. I like the beaminess that goes all the way to the tips.
-
Awesome buck!! Way to stick to the trail and get it done. Congrats!
-
Nice work! Looks like a 150 class buck but judging off of pictures can make anyone look like a fool lol
-
Thank you all for the replies and guesses if I end up having it scored I’ll let you know what it is. I really like the thickness as well  and yes pics can be deceiving for sure.
-
145 my guess gross. Beauty!!
-
That Buck is a great example of a stud Washington buck. For all you guys that think that bucks 150ish you are gonna be shocked imo. My advice is don't pass up any 150 bucks like this looking for something bigger lol.

You should take a shot at measuring it and post the measurements so everyone can see how close they are! It’s not difficult and only take a few minutes.
That would be a heard buck to pass for sure otc in wa.
-
I’ll give it a shot  and yeah for me no way I’d have passed on him With any draw tag in the state! But I usually shoot the little ones :chuckle:

 the score really means nothing to me I was just curious as I have never shot one that was worth measuring before.
-
I think the mass will put him close to 160.
:yeah:
-
166 6/8 gross, looks about right to me.
Actually, with the extra, gross is 168 2/8.
-
I was a bit short on tine lengths in my guess.
That’s a good buck!
-
:yeah: Nothing more to say. Cool as hell.
-
Wait... i thought the wolves kilt em all? :chuckle:

I personally seen 170ish. However, I also thought that the tape read 27-28" outside. My guess on mass was exactly 38-40". That blurry tape threw me. He is still bumping 170 with 39" mass. Again he's a great mature wash buck. Also, nets are for fish. The buck grew it let Boone and crooket penalize him. Again congrats to the hunter, great job.

That's a very good buck! And for the high hunt with this weeks weather, well earned. Congrats on a big mountain monarch!
