Title: Buffer Springs etc...
Post by: Alchase on September 20, 2019, 05:57:05 PM
Have any of you tried the JP Enterprises Silent Captured Spring AR-15 Buffer System (GEN 2)?
What is your prefered Buffer and Buffer Spring?
Let's hear your thoughts on upgrades.

I have 3 one in a 10/ 2 in 15’s. You can get different spring kits and tune them up. I absolutely love mine with my suppressed guns.

Hate spring rattle and if I can’t use a tungsten powder buffer likes the st-t2
I go to the jp.

Awesome, appreciate your input.
That was actually my next question, have you had any problems running a Spikes st-t2 on a mid-length gas system.
The Spike is substantially cheaper than the JP, what benefits have you seen between the two?

I haven't used the JP but from people that I know have they seem to love them...except the cost of course.

I have a ST-T2 buffer in my mid length gun from Spikes and it works great. I see no need to put the JP in that gun. Ive built other guns too and if smoothing out recoil is what you're after, adjustable gas blocks are an easy one stop shop.

Thanks Mongo, I was thinking more to reduce buffer noise more that recoil. Recoil is hardly noticeable shooting most ARs to me.
